Writer/Editor for New Works 30th Anniversary project. The exhibition, which will occupy the lobby of The Dance Centre during October, 2023, features archival objects and quotes compiled via interviews with artists and administrators impacted by New Works over the last three decades.
Shipyards Dance Series / summer 23
I worked with The Space (a new dance hub at Lonsdale Quay) to curate, organize and run a new dance performance series at the North Vancouver Shipyards on Shipbuilders’ Square, in partnership with Shipyards CNV, the City of North Vancouver and North Van Rec & Culture. It was my pleasure to present local artists for two evening performances with ~200 attendees for each free outdoor show.
EDAM Special Project // 06.23
Professional development mentorship with Olivia Shaffer (funded by BCAC and CCA) culminated with a special performance week where I had the privilege of working with Hayley Gawthrop, Antonio Somera and Arash Khakpour. The 20-minute studio showing of a new improvisational score by Olivia Shaffer on Friday, June 16 at the Western Front. Thanks to everyone who showed up to support!
Arts in the Garden / 05.23
This May I was delighted to work with three collaborators to create a new 12-minute piece for Arts in the Garden for North Van Arts. The work featuring Nicole Pavia, Brianne Chen (dancers) and Dean Thiessen (composer) and myself (poetry) took a sensory interpretation of the Lynn Valley Headwaters, an area referred to as Kwa-hul-cha by the Tsleil-watuth peoples. 12 Minutes Max Winter Series // 02.23
Working with two collaborators, Carla Alcantara and Torien Cafferata, to create a new piece for The Dance Centre’s 12 Minutes Max residency.

Digital Folk GHOST // 12.22
After being part of the cast of plastic orchid factory’s wild and beautiful work Digital Folk for over 6 years, the cast is back together again for a remount at Left of Main. The performance-based work embraces how video game culture, community and cognitive embodiment intersect. Join us to document the work in Virtual Reality in collaboration with Boca de Lupa theatre company.
Co.ERASGA Studio Salon Series // 11.22
I am thrilled to be part of Co.ERASGA’s Fall Studio Salon Series including a residency at WhatLab studio in Vancouver. My solo “UnFill” researches the history of the False Creek Flats and asks questions about how we relate to the physical landscape we live on.

Last month I was invited to join my second non-profit Board. I am looking forward to being part of the Artistic Advisory Committee and give back to this wonderful resource in the Vancouver dance community!
